Marco Ventoruzzo is Full Professor of Business Law at Bocconi University in Milan and Full Professor of Law at Penn State Law School (where is also an Affiliated Professor at the School of International Affairs). He has directed the Max Planck Institute of Luxembourg on financial markets regulation and is currently a scientific member of this Institution. He taught at numerous law schools around in Europe, Asia and South America. His academic and professional activity focuses on corporate law, with specific reference to listed corporations, securities regulation and financial markets. In addition to his activity as an attorney, he has served as director or auditor for several banking and financial corporations, listed and closely-held. Marco Ventoruzzo has published extensively in Italian and English. He is an editor of several peer-reviewed law journals, including the Journal of Financial Regulation (Oxford), European Company and Financial Law Review, and the Italian academic journals Rivista delle società and Banca Impresa Società.
Marco Ventoruzzo graduated, magna cum laude, in Economics and Business Administration at Bocconi University and holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from the State University of Milan. He received an LLM from the Yale Law School in 2000, a PhD in Corporate Law from the State University of Brescia; he also studied at Sorbonne University in Paris. He has been a member of the Italian bar since 2002 (licensed to appear before the Supreme Court), and a Certified Public Accountant since 1998.
