Licia Garotti is one of the partners of the Law Firm Gattai, Minoli, Agostinelli & Partners where she heads the Intellectual Property and Technology Law practice.
With a “deep knowledge of software and related technical issues” (Legal Community IP&TMT report 2017), Licia is recognized for her expertise in the drafting and negotiation of research and development agreements, IP rights licenses and transfer, with a special focus on ICT contracts also in the Fintech area. She handles and deals with complex litigations, also cross border, concerning software, tech platforms, patents and know how, as well as related to design and trademarks issues.
She has been recently appointed by San Marino Innovation as honorary member of the scientific committee focused on the blockchain and has been awarded as “Patents and Trademarks Lawyer of the year 2018” (Legalcommunity). Licia authored the Italian chapter of the handbook The Patent Litigation Law Review edited by The Law Review and has been a speaker in several seminars and conventions concerning blockchain, cloud computing, IoT, artificial intelligence, machine learning and digital payments.
